Job Overview:
The Quality Control Manager (QCM) is responsible for the quality of decommissioning work.
The QCM will be responsible for assuring the project team implements the policies and procedures required under contract and assuring corrective action is taken if performance does not meet internal or quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Managing Project Quality Control Plan implementation by the project team
Involving the engineering team in development of field QC inspection plans and checklists for environmental and civil work performed by subcontractors
Reviewing, approving and tracking QC submittals
Conducting weekly project meetings with staff, subcontractors and customer representatives
Writing clear and concise reports
Implementing a tracking system for issues and actions regarding such things as nonconforming materials, tests and field work
Will work closely with the PM to ensure established protocols and procedures are implemented, and the work performed is in accordance with the contract
Responsible for directing, planning, implementing, and tracking quality control (QC) activities and maintaining internal communication on QC matters
Responsible for QC staffing and ensuring QC data evaluation, data verification, and reporting procedures are followed
Basic Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering, Physical Science or Construction Technology/Management is preferred.
Must have at least 10 years, or equivalent, experience in QC or a similar field and 5 years of experience on radiological decommissioning or remediation projects.
Confined-Space trained and capable, or ability to obtain
Familiarity with inspection programs
Knowledge of and familiarity with industry HSE requirements
Knowledgeable regarding relevant industrial codes, standards and specifications (i.e. ASME, API, ASTM, AWS, AWWA, AISC, ACI, IEEE ...etc.)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft suite
Experienced with client and client representative interaction
