Position Overview

This position is responsible for authenticating prospective clients, identifying potential threats and risks with existing and prospective clients. This position will also monitor the credit quality of our existing client portfolio, as well as support various departments as necessary regarding credit risk.

Performance Objectives

The below represents the primary responsibilities of the position. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Effectively handle Credit Risk Specialist I responsibilities without direct supervision.

  • Assist in the training and development of Credit Risk Specialist I’s.

  • Demonstrates an understanding of overall Risk Mitigation department functions.

  • Develop and recommend policy, procedural, and automation enhancements to promote productivity and control within Risk Mitigation Department.

  • Above average knowledge of all operating systems, including Intuit, OFAC, Merlin, and HR & Payroll.

  • Identify, review and resolve escalated issues.

  • Run and analyze credit reports on new/existing clients, assist in determining funding based on credit reports, and monitor credit risk clients for funding requirement changes

  • Interact with clients and personnel from various banking institutions and internal departments to resolve issues in regard to transaction settlement or other queries

  • Identify and resolve detected fraudulent activity, including but not limited to funds recovery, client contact and internal follow-up.

  • Review and confirm client-level bank accounts changes to mitigate the risk of fraudulent transactions.

  • Be available on phone queue to assist internal partners

  • Perform related ad hoc projects including but not limited to accumulating data for analysis or creating reports at the request of the Client Credit Risk Manager.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and banking/reconciliation experience (2-4 years)

  • Payroll Service Bureau Experience a plus

  • Intermediate to advanced level experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $55,488 - $64,965/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
