GE Healthcare Asset Management Consulting Leader - Southern Louisiana in Remote, Louisiana

Job Description Summary

The role of the Asset Management Consulting Leader is to assist GE HealthCare’s customers in achieving their medical equipment optimization objectives. This is done by working directly with our customers, utilizing LEAN methodology, to provide them with assessments, guidance and expertise needed to improve the purchasing, renting, utilization and decommissioning of medical equipment assets.

Responsible for providing consulting services to a client and to help achieve business objective Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Client facing individual responsible for the delivery of consultancy services at a client site(s).

  • • Facilitate scoping sessions to clearly identify the customers objectives.• Conduct interviews and perform assessments to measure current state.• Gather data, perform advanced analytics, identify insights and opportunities for improvement.• Prioritize opportunities according to effort, feasibility, impact, and customer-readiness factors.• Conduct value stream mapping sessions with key customer stakeholders to identify and eliminate waste within processes.• Communicate recommendations and proposed solutions. Utilize GE’s Change Acceleration Process (CAP) model to establish stakeholder awareness, buy-in, and support of process improvement objectives.• Guide customer through process changes. • Measure results and assist customer to establish ongoing mechanisms to sustain those results.• Achieve contractual objectives and obtain customer acknowledgement of delivered results.

  • In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

  • Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

  • A job at this level requires an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience leading customers through process improvement projects.

• Must reside in the South Louisiana area.

• Experience with contemporary process improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, LEAN, Agile, TQM, etc.)

• Analytics capabilities including advanced Excel skills.

• Executive-level communication skills (written, interviewing, persuasion, and presentation). Self-starter who can work independently, with the confidence to make most decisions and quickly pull in support as needed to achieve objectives.

• Service mindset with a passion for helping our customers achieve their goals by removing obstacles, providing guidance, and setting high standards.

• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

  • This position will require intermittent travel up to 60% within the client territory (LA, TX, MS)

Desired Characteristics

• Experience working with medical equipment in a healthcare setting.

• Master’s degree.

  • PMP Certif

• 3+ years of experience hospital operations and healthcare finance
