POSITION PURPOSE:

Fully responsible for the Facility Operation & Infrastructure (FBL) business line profit and loss, personnel management, and delivering both short and long-term strategies. This position is also responsible for representing North Wind Group in front of all North Wind current and prospective clients, partners and shareholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages all aspects of the Facility Operation & Infrastructure business line.

  • Possess a strong understanding of facilities operations, budgeting, estimating workload requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and work control systems

  • Assures the business line is delivering corporate strategic expectations and has ultimate responsibility for achieving business line targets established for revenue, profit, cash flow, and backlog as consolidated across all operating subsidiaries within the business line.

  • Creates, prioritizes, and achieves initiatives identified in the business line strategic plan.

  • In collaboration with business line subsidiary Presidents, co-creates and shapes the future and strategic positioning of the business line.

  • Ensures business line performance, client satisfaction, and management of client assessment of business line performance (e.g., CPARS) with periodic reviews of individual contract/project performance.

  • Balances strategy implementation with risk management; analyzes, manages, and mitigates risk (contractual, financial, legal, operational, reputational).

  • Finds, develops, and incorporates acquisitions and partnerships to bolster market share and accretive profits.

  • Utilizes North Wind Group functional groups to their fullest potential, thus allowing minimum head count within the business line, driving business line overhead down.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serves as a member of the North Wind Group Executive Leadership Team.

  • Sponsors and supports the training, career-laddering, and succession planning of Subsidiary Presidents and other key personnel that comprise the business line; manages business line turnover and incentives personnel performance through corporate bonus programs.

  • Conducts management assessments at business line project sites.

  • Ability to perform site walks at federal sites for capture and proposal development

  • Conducts periodic visits to business line offices and major work locations, serving as the business line ambassador to vitalize workforce culture by articulating the business line vision and reinforcing North Wind Group core values.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum 20 years' experience managing P&L, balance sheet and income statement

  • Minimum 20 years' experience overseeing large portfolios of various project types and sizes.

  • Minimum 20 years' experience developing and administering contracts with a variety of complexity levels.

  • Minimum 20 years' experience overseeing larger organizations, greater than 100 employees.

  • Minimum 10 years' experience brokering deals and strategic partnerships.

  • Proven track record of developing and delivering strategies.

  • Proven track record of delivering projects at or above their proposed and budgeted profit margins.

  • Better than industry safety record.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be a decisive leader.

  • Must have a clear understanding of what drives profit and loss on a project and portfolio level.

  • Must be able to understand contracts and what is required to deliver the project within contract boundaries.

  • Must have the soft skills to manage company and subcontracted employees.

  • Needs to be able to understand company long-term strategy and how their project delivery and customer relationships help achieve these strategies.

  • Must have a strong and proven work ethic.

Special Requirements:

  • Must be willing to travel on short notice.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master of Science or Master of Business Administration preferred

  • Hold a valid U.S. passport

  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security up to Top Secret (DOD) or Q (DOE)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to travel.
