Job Title: Foreman

Job Description

The candidate will be a carpenter foreman. They will mostly perform carpentry-related work but may assist with concrete processes depending on the job site. They will work exclusively on interior trim or steel erecting and assist with general labor duties for a commercial construction project. The candidate will use various hand tools daily, including power drills, tape measures, hand saws, nail guns, and reciprocating saws for cutting materials prior to framing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform carpentry-related work, including interior trim and steel erecting

  • Assist with concrete processes when needed

  • Use all types of hand tools such as power drills, tape measures, hand saws, nail guns, and reciprocating saws

  • Perform general labor duties for commercial construction projects

Essential Skills

  • 4-5 years of lead or foreman experience in carpentry or steel

  • Reliable transportation to job sites within 90 miles of Plain, WI

  • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs repeatedly throughout the day

Work Environment

Construction job site. Must be open to working in all weather conditions. Crew sizes range from 5-80 individuals. The dress code includes steel or leather boots that cover the ankle, jeans year-round, short-sleeve shirts in the summer with a minimum sleeve length of 4 inches, and no profanity on clothing. Working hours are from 7 am to 3:30 pm (M-F) with potential overtime dictated by project needs. Required tools include personal hand tools, boots, hard hats, and high visibility shirts. PPE such as safety glasses will be provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr.
