Description
We are offering an opportunity for an Assistant Controller in REED CITY, Michigan. The role primarily involves assisting in establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, and procedures. The Assistant Controller will also be a key contributor to financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.

Responsibilities:
• Cross functionally works with Operations, IT, HR, Supply Chain, and Executive Leadership
• Monitor and review the operations of the Accounts Receivable and Payable Departments.
• Hire, train, and provide direction and support to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing personnel.
• Support the ERP system and manage fixed assets.
• Prepare financial statements and related reporting.
• Assist with corporate state tax apportionment and federal and state tax audit support.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting of financial performance and cash flow.
• Provide support for Treasury Management.
• Review and approve credit.
• Assist in annual audit planning and preparation.
• Represent the company externally to government agencies, auditors, and the general public through community involvement.
Skills:
• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.
• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions.
• Experience in Auditing.
• Familiarity with Budget Processes and Budgeting - Forecasting.
• Knowledge of Inventory forecasting.
• Ability to manage Fixed Assets and Fixed Asset Additions.
• Proficient in Cash Flow Modeling.
Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
• Solid understanding and experience in executing Accounting Functions
• Proven experience in Auditing
• Familiarity with Budget Processes
• Proficiency in Budgeting and Forecasting
• Experience with Inventory Forecasting
• Understanding of Fixed Assets and Fixed Asset Additions
• Experience in Cash Flow Modeling
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Detail-oriented with high levels of accuracy
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
