Neuberger Berman Senior Associate/Quantitative Analyst in Redwood, California

TITLE: Senior Associate/Quantitative Analyst

LOCATION: Redwood City, CA (Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Neuberger Berman policy.)

DUTIES: Develop credit models to project cash flows and return for various investment structures – portfolio of whole loans, credit facilities, and ABS tranches. Model loss and prepayment expectations for consumer and small medium business lending portfolios. Manage pricing and modeling securitizations either in Intex or in-house models built in Python. Summarize historical performance data to generate insights on trends in risk and returns. Run SQL queries and manage large amounts of complex data in Snowflake. Support due diligence of loan originators for new and private fin-tech companies. Support ad hoc requests regarding portfolio performance and market color from Neuberger Berman internal teams and clients.

REQTS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mathematics, Operations Research, Financial Engineering or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation in the investment banking/asset management industry. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mathematics, Operations Research, Financial Engineering or a related field, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation in the investment banking/asset management industry. Must have five (5) years (or three (3) years with a Master’s) of experience: Utilizing knowledge of Specialty Finance Lending with focus on FinTech and Marketplace Lending; Utilizing Python/SQL to perform statistical analysis for portfolio monitoring; Developing and implementing complex portfolio monitoring tools using SQL and Tableau; Summarizing large data sets; Working with databases including Azure and Snowflake; Responding to ad-hoc requests regarding performance using Python, SQL and Tableau; Assisting teams (investment, marketing, finance, and/or operations) with fund level reporting using data from Snowflake database; and Creating automated processes using Excel and Python.

HOURS: Full-Time; Mon-Fri (40 hrs/week)

SALARY: $200,000 - $200,000 per year

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $200,000-$200,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in . An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
