Summary About the Position: This is a Supervisory Program Analyst position at Redstone, AL with the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command. Incumbent will serve as the Branch Chief of the Concepts Evaluation Branch of the Concepts Division. The US Army Space & Missile Defense Command is participating in an alternate personnel system known as the Acquisition Demonstration Project (AcqDemo). Responsibilities Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Joint and Army Wargaming and Experimentation development. Provides expertise in joint campaigns, in the operational level of war, in service specific operations, reviews and comments on detailed foundational concept which shape space operations at the operational and tactical levels of warfare. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, in conjunction with setting priorities and scheduling completion. Provides input for the synthesis, integration, and coordination of study plans and events involving Joint/Army concept and architecture wargaming/experimentation associated with the Joint Capabilities and Integration Development System (JCIDS). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Applying expertise in the capability development and force development process, wargames, experimentation, or exercises focused on space, High Altitude or Missile Defense; AND 2) Coordinating a program and budget formulation process involving the review of long-range objectives and the development of plans, programs and budgets to support a comprehensive time-phased and cost-effective resource program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03/GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Manages Human Resources Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position or equivalent within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (NH-03/GS-13). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
