Usability Researcher 3 BCforward is currently seeking a Usability Researcher 3 in Redmond, WA 98052 Position Title: Usability Researcher 3 Location: Redmond, WA 98052 (Remote; Must support PST) Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience *Portfolio required with resume* * Minimum 5+ years' experience with research in data analytics * Minimum 5+ years' experience with CoPilot * Minimum 5+ years' experience with visualization tools Tableau, Power BI Job description: Summary: Overall requirement/responsibilities: Work with the UX Research team on Azure Data products and services including analytics particularly around data integration, data modeling, data visualization, and data/insight consumption. We're in need of someone who can help with running all types of studies, including interviews, needs gathering, journey maps, concept testing, usability, surveys, and a user feedback program. As a plus, this person can also help analyze quant data and derive insights through advanced statistical analysis. Position description: * A minimum of MA/MS in HCI, Cognitive Psychology, Experimental Psychology, or other related fields. * 3-5 years hands-on experience conducting UX research. * Ability to run all types of studies from end to end. * Ability to analyze research data (both qual and quant), write up and present rich findings simply and clearly to influence product design and direction quickly and effectively. * Experience conducting research in a highly technical space (e.g., data warehousing, data integration, data engineering, data governance, data visualization) desirable but isn't a must. Helpful to have a technical field of study in academic or job history. * If no prior experience in conducting research in a highly technical space, must possess an aptitude for technical complexity and a willingness to learn with a demonstrated ability to quickly ramp up on a technical domain/user base. Additional clarifications: * Looking for somebody who can help with the load of routine asks from the FTE researchers. The studies might be designed by the FTE researchers and executed by the vendor researcher or they might be designed and run by the vendor researcher end-to-end. * Looking to avoid candidates whose core experiences are on the market research side as those are different skillsets that don't transfer smoothly into UX/design research. * Preference on some product focused research. * Preference on Stats experience: Advanced statistics knowledge such as regression, clustering, class analysis, etc. Other qualities: * Bias for action * Appreciates qual and quant * Agile and can go quickly with usability studies * Can handle some responsibilities around: experimental design, survey programming, data analysis using multivariate statistical analysis, generalized linear models * Insight storytelling through data visualization About the team: * This person will be the 4th member of our product research team. * In terms of stakeholders, the researcher is typically working closely with researchers and some To view the full job description,
