Required Skills:

Software Engineer, Computer Vision - Encoders Responsibilities:

  1. In this role, you will be the technical lead for development and implementation of calibration models, algorithms and software for novel sensors, camera, and illumination systems.

  2. You will conduct experiments and data collection to validate calibration algorithms and improve system performance.

  3. You will co-create roadmap and vision for R&D initiatives focused on HW calibration and data capture.

  4. You will drive cross-functional collaborations with partner teams including but not limited to calibration team, AR/VR HW, display calibration, etc.

  5. You will explore, innovate, and leverage novel technologies, from internal and external sources, to improve calibration accuracy, simplify calibration data capture, and enable online calibration.

  6. You would also contribute to recruitment, mentoring, onboarding, and growing calibration cross-functional team

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Skilled in writing efficient and maintainable C++ code. Experience in camera, sensor, SLAM, or illuminator calibration Computer vision, image analysis, model fitting. Experience mentoring and acting as project technical lead. Experience with image data and SW infrastructure.

  2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar relevant discipline. Experience in robotics and automated trajectory optimization. Familiarity with on-device SW systems. Experience in AR/VR.

Public Compensation:

$85.10/hour to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
