Microsoft Corporation Senior Technical Program Manager in Redmond, Washington

We are seeking to hire an experienced and passionate  Senior Technical Progam Manager  who will collaborate across multiple organizations to help our engineering teams to  deliver critical requirements and features that provide differentiation to our fast growing Teams Devices ecosystem.  This role will provide you with an opportunity to work with teams and technologies across the company and beyond. Responsibilities

  • Partner and collaborate with Technical Leads and Customer Stakeholders to define and deliver valuable software solutions. 

  • Drive technical discussions and scoping meetings to establish key features, milestones, and deliverables.  

  • Capture key data and insights related to each engagement; as patterns and trends emerge, surface recommendations to internal stakeholders and service owners to improve and refine our products. 

  • Leverage your talents and experience to solve cross-organizational issues and remove blockers. 

  • Drive Program Management fundamentals through mentoring, sharing, and improving/building workflows.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.

  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Computer Science degree

  • 4+ years directly involved with software delivery and/or technical implementation of complex production systems. 

  • 3+ years of working and communicating directly with customers at engineering, stakeholder, and executive levels.

  • 3+ years of Program Management, Product Owner or Product Engineering experience, including shipping complex production systems that run on a hybrid or public cloud. 

  • Experience building automation in processes

  • Solid customer presence and experience managing customer relationships. 

  • Desire to embrace challenges and solve problems using an entrepreneurial and value-driven approach. 

  • Subject matter excellence in Lean / Agile mindsets and common software delivery frameworks

  • Ability to distill information and communicate directly with senior leadership. 

  • Experience mentoring and contributing to a fast-paced, results-oriented team. 

  • Experience working within geographically diverse and virtual teams. 

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
