Job Description: Create designs, prototypes and/or concepts for business productivity, gaming, entertainment, or other software or hardware applications.  Leverage innovative techniques to ensure products and services are desirable, relevant, usable, personal, and feasible. Conceptualize and facilitate ideation sessions, storyboarding, and brainstorming to develop user scenarios and sketch early stage mockups. Drive design from definition to ideation to delivery. Produce design briefs and support the production of information architecture diagrams, wireframes, interaction flows, low-fi prototypes, or other artifacts required to develop and evolve user experience designs. Implement Microsoft visual design languages for production of designs. Collaborate with cross functional teams to translate user feedback and telemetry into design solutions. Create special effects, designs, or other visual images using industry design technologies that improve Microsoft product user experience or other world class creations like computer games. Telecommuting permitted 50% or more per week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Human Computer Interaction, Fine Art, Animation, Design, Multimedia Art, Animation, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• Experience: Two years of experience creating design patterns and prototypes.
• Alternative Requirements: Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Human Computer Interaction, Fine Art, Animation, Design, Multimedia Art, Animation, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• Specific Skill Requirements: This position also requires education or experience in: User experience design; User interface design; Figma (or comparable); User research; Product design; Wireframing; and Visual design.
• Any suitable combination of education, training or experience is acceptable.      

Pay Range and Benefits Information: The offered base pay range for this specific position (job code TSBRY17755A), in Redmond, WA, is $118,400 to $148,400.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
