Microsoft’s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence. The products our portfolio include Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL DB, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure PostgreSQL, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, and Power BI. ​​Within Azure Data, the messaging and real-time analytics team provides comprehensive solutions and a robust platform that enables users to ingest high granularity signals (real-time & observability) and complex data, converting those into a competitive advantage in real-time for both end users and modern applications.  ​

​​We are on the lookout for competent and motivated Principal Product Manager to pioneer the evolution of real-time intelligence including analytics and AI capabilities. The perfect candidate will be committed to understanding customer needs, passionate about leveraging data for decision-making, and experience in AI/ML and focused on crafting end-to-end experiences throughout the portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • ​Deliver a world-class product with exceptional user experience to our customers on time

  • Create clarity on the product vision, roadmap and plan especially focused on AI/ML capabilities and integrations

  • Define, drive and track success criteria and performance metrics such as engagement, usage, profitability etc. and incorporate into planning and execution

  • Work with stakeholders to deliver success across the customer, product, and business

  • Work with customers to understand their pain points and make them successful

  • Collaborate with partner teams to deliver new value in our product and across Microsoft’s products

  • Foster a culture of excellence, inclusion, collaboration, and customer focus​

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • ​​Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience​

  • 3+ years experience in AI / ML technologies

  • 4+ years experience data analytics, streaming or eventing solutions

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

  • This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development

  • OR equivalent experience.

Product Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
