Job Description:

Apex is hiring a Software Engineer with C++ expertise as well as professional experience in image and video processing. This is an exciting role to work on IP on a silicon team. Remote candidates will be considered. Preference would be given to candidates In Redmond, WA,Sunnyvale, Burlingame, or LA. Rate: $85 /hr w2. This is a 1 year contract with potential to get extended to 2 years. The clientis seeking a Software Engineer to support modeling and implementation of image/video compression and processing IPs. The successful candidate will be part of a team that includes algorithm, software, architecture, digital design, digital verification, firmware, pre-silicon platforms, and emulation experts. Software Engineer Responsibilities: -- Develop architectural model, and map SW to HW using pre-silicon platforms; -- Design and implement image/video compression and processing IPs; -- Build and enhance the image/video quality assessment framework: objective and subjective evaluation. Qualification: -- 5+ years relevant experience; -- 5+ years of programming experience in C++; -- Experience in image/video compression and processing; -- Familiar with scripting languages such as Python; -- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience EEO Employer
