Responsibilities

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineer to join our Landing Gear design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aircraft hydraulics and landing gear systems and be comfortable working in fast paced environment. You will be responsible for the development of clean sheet design from initial concept trade studies through to production design. This role requires an understanding of fluid dynamics, rigid body dynamics, aircraft systems design, system and component testing, and proficiency with current generation fluid and rigid body analysis and simulation tools. You will work closely with other engineers to develop innovative solutions that meet customer requirements. Your ability to communicate effectively and work in a strong but small team orientated environment will be crucial in collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting your findings to stakeholders. Additionally, you will be expected to stay current with industry trends and advancements, continuously improving your skills and knowledge to contribute to the success of our projects. Responsibilities • Develop hydraulic systems schematics • Derive component requirements • Conduct system analysis and simulation -- fluid dynamics co-simulated with rigid body dynamis • Collaborate with cross-functional teams • Create system and component test plans • Support system safety analysis • Conduct test data post processing, analysis and correlation • Stay current with industry trends and advancements • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback • Optimize designs for weight, cost, and performance • Contribute to the development of engineering best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field. • Minimum of 10 years of experience with aircraft systems design and analysis • Proficiency in CAD (e.g., SOLIDWORKS, CATIA). • Experience with fluid dynamics softawre (Matlab/Simulink, EASY5) • Experience with rigid body dynamic analysis software (ADAMS) • Experience with schematic design tools (VISIO) • Experience with aircraft system & component testing

Compensation: $126,300 - $172,200
