We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Industry Product Marketing for Events to join our team in Puget Sound. Responsibilities

As the Director of Industry Product Marketing for Events, you will lead and inspire a team of skilled senior-level product marketers focused on both first and third-party events. You will be responsible for driving quality customer experience in partnership with Microsoft’s event execution team from concept to completion, ensuring that our events generate interest, excitement, and demand for our industry solutions.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of product marketing events leads through the application of our management philosophy of Model, Coach, and Care. Foster a diverse and inclusive work environment that values contributions from all team members.

  • Event Strategy: Oversee the process, development, and delivery of clearly written Strategic Event Briefs for each event to outline objectives, targeted audience(s), and high-level event experiencesto ensure clear implementation of the plan by the event execution team.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-company stakeholders to align on intended business impact, event strategy, audience targets, and success metrics.

  • Content Management: Define, in partnership with industry product marketing managers, the customer experience that drives strong immersive engagement with our content at events. Manage content allocations, guidance, and training across all content opportunities such as featured sessions, interstitials, and round tables.

  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data and market insights for decision-making, including content optimization and new event concept developments.

  • Budget Management: Efficiently and compliantly manage the end-to-end event budget.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field AND 6+ years experience in business

  • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in business

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 4+ years direct people management experience or indirect people management experience (or virtual teams).

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate event marketing and working on digital and in-person events.

  • 5+ years of experience in project management with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, set priorities, and be flexible in changing environments.

  • 3+ years of experience in efficiently and compliantly managing the end-to-end event budget.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field AND 12+ years experience in business

  • OR Master's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in business

  • OR equivalent experience.

  • 6+ years people management experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in corporate event marketing and working on digital and in-person events.

  • 7+ years of experience in project management with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, set priorities, and be flexible in changing environments.

  • 5+ years of experience in efficiently and compliantly managing the end-to-end event budget.

  • Skilled collaborator who connects people and teams, communicates concepts to diverse audiences, and engages effectively with executives.

Product Marketing M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $248,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $268,900 per year.
