Microsoft Corporation Customer Program Manager: Internship Opportunity in Redmond, Washington

As a Customer Program Manager Intern you will contributes to efforts to deliver on revenue quotas for one or more Solution Areas. Assists fiscal year business planning for small and medium business for one or more Solution Areas. Learns and contributes to small and medium business plans, key solution plays, and program offerings. Supports the evaluation of small and medium business customer base with virtual team stakeholders to build an understanding of drivers of customers' need to modernize. Where appropriate, provides support for realization of escalated deals that are simple to moderately complex, and balances these engagements with the management of a small and medium business segment. Evaluates elements of customer or partner program performance across a local market to predict the likelihood of returns. Attends meetings with internal or external stakeholders as needed to gain buy-in and alignment on plans. Supports work with internal stakeholders to promote continuity in the execution of customer or partner programs and develops an awareness of customer satisfaction and changes in business practices that may impact customer-partner engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Learns and contributes to small and medium business (SMB) business plans, key solution plays, and program offerings (e.g., incentives, local assessments and programs) within local markets in alignment with One Microsoft culture to achieve joint outcomes and align internal virtual team (v-team) and internal and external (surestep) resources.

  • Evaluates elements of customer or partner program performance across a local market to predict the likelihood of sustained or increased returns. May leverage performance insights to influence investment decisions and optimize returns with guidance, identifies improvements under guidance to scale customer and/or partner programs across markets, and helps generate plausible solutions to overcome obstacles.

  • Supports the evaluation of small and medium business (SMB) customer base with virtual team stakeholders to build an understanding of drivers of customers' need to modernize.

  • Assists counterparts across the business (e.g., Finance, Business Group Leaderships, Marketing, One Commercial Partner) and leverages newly acquired knowledge of local markets to develop business strategies with supervision and guidance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or related field OR equivalent experience.

Must have at least 1 semester/term remaining following the completion of the internship

The base pay range for this internship is USD $4,280 - $7,730 per month. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $5,740 - $8,440 per month.
