Microsoft Corporation Brand Visualization Manager - Xbox in Redmond, Washington

Xbox is seeking a Brand Visualization Manager to lead foundational visual storytelling and help bring new meaning to the brand on a global scale. This candidate is a creative and strategic thinker who has experience leading and executing visual systems that drive a brand forward.

The candidate for this role is familiar with product cycles, packaging development, Partner integrations, and compliance standards. They are well versed in the creative development process across print, digital and social mediums and have experience managing multiple agency partnerships.

This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home.

Responsibilities

  • Leads planning and execution of visual brand evolution across Xbox’s product portfolio. Generates strategic visual systems to drive brand continuity and growth across all marketing channels and materials.

  • Manages team development of global packaging design systems, inclusive of Xbox products and services. Ensure all visual content is delivered to spec, on time, and within budget.

  • Creates compelling strategic presentations that sell complex concepts to various business groups.

  • Builds and maintains cross-functional partnerships through intensive collaboration and thoughtful problem solving.

  • Directs toolkit creation and roadmap planning for maximum impact, considering down-stream usage and growth.

  • Fosters external agency growth and support internal team member objectives to yield high-quality visual content. Guide team members to enhance visual storytelling skills.

  • Continuously analyzes and track the performance of visual content to inform future strategies and campaigns.

  • Drives creation of compelling creative concepts that excite and invite consumers to Xbox.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years work experience at a branding agency or with product marketing, brand building, and/or strategy development.

  • 2+ years of experience managing the packaging design process for a consumer brand

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years creative strategy experience, which could include brief writing and/or managing strategy on the corporate or agency side.

  • 6+ years experience managing projects (e.g., internal stakeholder management, timelines, prioritization, road mapping).

  • Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully build strategic visual systems that meet marketing engagement goals while propelling the brand forward.

  • Ability to lead a team through complex challenges. Proven ability to problem solve and unify team in environment with conflicting priorities.

  • Experienced presenter with abilities to create strategic and compelling material to influence a variety of audiences, including leadership teams.

  • Familiar with various substrates, print proofing, color matching, and print techniques.

  • Highly skilled influencer to drive creative design decisions under tight deadline pressure and amid ambiguity in a highly collaborative organization.

  • Outstanding collaboration skills and ability to function as a leader to achieve mutual success and not be deterred by ambiguity.

  • A self-driven and directed individual who can respond to changing business needs, rapidly adapt and overcome challenges and solve problems.

  • Highly organized with outstanding business communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • A successful track record of creative problem solving for technical and design challenges.

  • Attention to detail, internal quality control, and excellent craftsmanship.

Brand IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
