Job Description:

Parsons Transportation Team has an immediate opening to support work for CALTRANS in the Bay Area. We are looking to hire (2) Field Technicians who will provide speed surveys in various locations in the Bay area of San Francisco.

This is a project-based role, that will be a one-year project – full-time - you will be required to use your own vehicle

Job Requirements

• The candidate needs to have experience performing roadside fieldwork, preferably conducting a speed survey using a speed radar gun and filling out the speed survey forms by hand.

• The candidate must have an unmarked and plain-colored vehicle for the speed survey. Paid training will be provided to conduct the speed survey. Speed Survey travel mileage will be reimbursed accordingly.

• The candidate needs to be available to work and travel to the Caltrans District 4 Counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, Marin, Sonoma, Solano, and Napa. To deliver project assignments, the candidate must communicate regularly with the Parsons project manager, Caltrans task order manager, project manager, and team staff.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Extensive knowledge of the field. Works on moderately difficult assignments, requiring judgment in resolving issues or in making recommendations. Plans own work. Uses judgment within the limits of standard practice. Only asks for supervision for unusual cases. Errors could affect other operating group

Salary Range:

$25.34 - $44.33
