Robert Half Medical Receptionist in Red Bluff, California

Description We are currently seeking a Medical Administrator for a healthcare setting located in Red Bluff, California. The role involves a range of administrative tasks in a healthcare setting, including customer service, patient check-in and check-out, insurance verification, phone call handling, and appointment scheduling.


• Deliver high-quality customer service to patients and guests • Professionally greet patients and guests and ensure their comfort during their visit • Efficiently manage patient check-ins and check-outs, including verification of patient demographics and collection of copayments • Update insurance details as required • Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls with detail oriented etiquette • Handle routine inquiries and forward complex inquiries to appropriate personnel • Schedule follow-up appointments for patients • Conduct audits of scheduled appointments • Verify commercial insurance eligibility and benefits • Process authorizations for HMO and Medicare office visits • Maintain a neat and inviting waiting room environment, including stocking magazines and water cups • Perform a variety of other clerical and reception duties as needed • Mastery of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word

• Familiarity with healthcare industry and NHS standards

• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is preferred

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage tasks with accuracy

• Ability to adapt to changing work environments and needs

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field is preferred

• Experience with electronic medical records systems is a plus.
