Ameresco Trade Ally Program Manager in Red Bank, New Jersey

Ameresco is seeking a Trade Ally Program Manager to join the growing Energy Efficiency Implementation team. The position will perform trade ally management activities for one or more utility clients under moderate supervision of the Sr Program manager with an emphasis on commercial and multifamily trade ally recruitment, engagement, and management. The scope of work for this role includes outreach, education and management of trade allies supporting energy efficiency programs in the commercial and multifamily sectors. The focus will be on direct management of implementation tasks, marketing, outreach, trade ally relationship development & management and overall program support to ensure targets are met in a cost effective and program compliant manner. Project management activities will include trade ally enrollment, operational management including metrics development, tracking & reporting, status reporting, relationship management and continuous improvement. This position will require occasional travel for trade ally engagement, quality control, marketing and outreach events, recruitment initiatives, and client meetings.

Applied Energy Group (AEG), a global business within AMERESCO, is a leading provider of Demand Side Management (DSM) / energy related consulting services, tracking software platform and data analysis solutions for utilities. AEG services cover the full DSM life cycle: planning and program design, implementation, EM&V and regulatory support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing, tracking, and managing trade allies participating in both commercial and multifamily energy efficiency programs.

  • Initiating quality control plans and monitoring trade ally performance.

  • Tracking and management of program budgets including the implementation of reservation systems .

  • Support the development of energy savings projections.

  • Training of trade allies, including evaluation of training needs, development of training materials, and presentations to single or multiple trade allies.

  • Tracking and enforcement of program requirements

  • Conflict resolution.

  • Develop intimate knowledge of all the projects in development or to be developed by trade allies

  • Communication with client contacts at multiple levels of the organization. This will involve both formal meetings and informal email and phone contact.

  • Maintain high customer satisfaction at all levels of the customer organization.

  • Identification and solutions for new project opportunities for existing clients including involvement in the RFP and proposal process. This should also include exploration cross selling opportunities for existing clients in all business units.

  • Support trade allies with application submission and project close out documentation needs

  • Local NJ Travel is required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Business or a related field is preferred.

  • 5-7 years of industry experience

Additional Qualifications:

  • Trade ally and/or subcontractor management experience in the Energy Efficiency space.

  • Strong program/project management and customer service experience.

  • Ability to provide direction to trade allies to successfully execute project tasks, control scope, budget and schedule.

  • Experience projecting and tracking budgets, developing status reporting, managing issues to resolution, and forecasting impacts on critical and non-critical paths is required.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.

  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.

  • Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, is required.

  • Experience managing external vendors/parties is preferred.
