Penske Human Resource Coordinator in Reading, Pennsylvania

Position Summary:

The Human Resources Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to include HR Metrics and Market & Talent Insights analysis and interpretation, processing driver referral bonuses, and various reporting on compliance related to policies, procedures, and programs. This role will collaborate closely with all functions of HR (Field and Corporate), Operations, PTS and PTL. This position will also work on specific projects as necessary based on the needs of the HR team and the business. The ultimate goal of this role is to identify areas we can centralize, automate, and eliminate. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years’ experience carrying out transactional level HR plans, analysis and interpretation of data, measurement and assessment skills, and critical thinking.

Major Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with HR Team (Field and Corporate) on several functions including, but not limited to gathering HR metrics and market insights, processing driver referrals, managing metrics for HR/Ops scorecard, track and monitor mandatory training, reporting, and policy and procedure interpretation and oversight.

• Partner with HR and Ops support and strategy teams in metrics development, interpretation, communication, and compliance; may include startups and shutdowns, new business due diligence, labor matters, new/add business implementation etc.

• Special Assignments and tasks as assigned by the HR Directors and VP of HR such as serving on process improvement teams, coordination of small scope short term projects, collaboration with cross functional teams to identify solutions for long term initiatives.

• Other projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree required, with a concentration in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field

• SHRM, HRPA, or HRCI certifications (i.e., PHR, SPHR, CHRP) preferred

• 1 year of HR Administration or related field experience required

• Excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and HRIS systems

• Must be able to communicate effectively with all work related contacts, both verbally and in writing.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

• Project management experience, high-level organizational skills and experience working with outside vendors.

• Detail oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills

• Ability to learn and interpret Human Resources policies, procedures and all applicable laws.

• Ability to network, advocate, and work proactively

• Ability to collect and compile information and data.

• Ability to maintain confidential information

• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment and education) are required.
