Berks Counseling Center Coordinator of RACC Services in Reading, Pennsylvania

As Coordinator of Reading Area Community College Services, you will provide direct but brief counseling and intervention services designed to support the students at Reading Area Community College as well as coordinates and develops its onsite counseling services, student workshops, intervention, and prevention. You will work closely with the direct supervisor and collaboratively with RACC staff. You will serve as a liaison between RACC staff and Berks Counseling Center.

 You will...

  • Ensure that students have access to BCC services as appropriate.
  • Provide screening, assessment, and evaluation of students.
  • Coordinate transition to BCC outpatient services, when applicable.
  • Participate in RACC's Care Team.
  • Develop and provide RACC community workshops on a variety of behavioral health topics.
  • Assist with calling and interacting with mobile crisis services.

To qualify for the position, you will need...

  • A bachelor's degree in a related social service field
  • At least two years of direct counseling and substance abuse counseling experience (including relevant internship). 
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week within agency hours of operation, which are 8am-8pm Mon-Thurs, 8am-4pm Friday with Saturday hours, when applicable.
