Robert Half Accounts Payable Manager in Reading, Pennsylvania

Description

Robert Half is offering an exciting opportunity to work with an expanding North America based, services company on their search for a success driven AP Manager with proven experience managing a team of accounts payable clerks, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, maintaining strong vendor relationships, and confidentiality of the company. In this AP Manager role, the candidate will ensure all invoices are processed and coded accurately by the accounts payable department, create and implement revenue generating metrics, and train, coach and mentor.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and distribute incoming accounts payable invoices and related documents for approval.

  • Oversee the invoice processing to ensure compliance with company policies.

  • Prepare and process invoices in Vista accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Review and verify vendor statements as needed.

  • Manage pending approved accounts payable.

  • Establish new vendors following company policies.

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices by communicating with the necessary staff.

  • Maintain 1099 vendor files for accuracy and keep W9s up-to-date for tax reporting.

  • Prepare and process weekly vendor payments.

  • Reconcile and research accounts payable transactions to resolve any discrepancies.

  • Manage and reconcile credit card accounts, ensuring payments are current.

  • Develop and implement AP process improvements.

    Requirements

The ideal AP Manager will have a Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration.

Other requirements for the AP Manager role include and are not limited to:

  • 5+ years AP processing experience

  • Supervisory experience required

  • Any job costing preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel

  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills
