The Associate Director, Capabilities & Deployment – XTA, is responsible for the successful deployment and adoption of value-added capabilities/initiatives that expertly delivers the portfolio, in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders.

This individual will play a leadership role in harmonization and global standardization within the Delivery Unit’s in partnership with the Business, Growth, Innovation & Advocacy organization to increase productivity and standardization. This individual must have a ONE team approach, encouraging collaborative discussions with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Business, Growth, Innovation & Advocacy (BGI&A), other Delivery Units and other functions within and outside of GD to be the bi-directional catalyst for the Delivery Unity to drive and deploy value-added capabilities/initiatives.

  • Identify, pilot and communicate Therapeutic Area / Disease Area needs and initiatives to broader DU and BGI&A organizations.

  • Understand strategies/initiatives to globally translate to the Delivery Unit enabling readiness and excellence in deployment.

  • Ensuring impactful Delivery Unit representation on global capabilities /initiatives

  • Pro-actively communicates with GD leadership and draws in expertise to advance deployment and adoption.

  • Ensure robust change management and communication plan to ensure readiness to adapt to the future requirements/qualifications

Qualifications

Education :

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required, preferably in Life Sciences or Engineering

  • Advanced degree in a scientific discipline and/or Master’s degree is preferred

Required:

  • Minimum of 8 years Pharmaceutical, Healthcare or related industries is required

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills are required.

  • Proven ability to foster team productivity and cohesiveness is required.

  • Ability to manage complexity under pressure is required.

  • Strong in strategy development, project execution, stakeholder management, and excellent interpersonal skills is required.

  • Strong decision-making skills is required.

  • Flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment with the appropriate sense of urgency is required.

  • Experience in transforming organizations in response to business needs is required.

  • Excellent knowledge of drug development is required

  • Demonstrated skills in effective communication with various internal and external stakeholders is required.

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills are required.

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to collaborate and handle multiple priorities within a matrix environment is required.

  • Perform activities in a timely and accurate manner is required.

  • Up to 10% travel may be required

Preferred:

  • Proven track record of project management is preferred.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $135,000 - $232,300.

The anticipated base pay range for this position in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA is $166,000 to $267,145.

The compensation and benefits information set forth in this posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance. Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year

  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year

  • Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays – up to 13 days per calendar year

  • Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year
