Goodwill of the Great Plains Store Assistant Manager - Rapid Valley in Rapid City, South Dakota

[We are seeking an Assistant Manager to become an integral part of our team! You will assist the Store Manager in the operation and management of a Goodwill retail store. You will be responsible for performing cashier and processing duties in all retail areas of the store, opening and/or closing the store and completing corresponding paperwork.   • Assume full store responsibility in store managers absence; including but not limited to directing the activities of all personnel, ensure that sales transactions are rung up and reported accurately and ensure that donated goods are processed appropriately.
  • Maintain all store records in absence of store manager
  • Ensure that retail store is adequately stocked at all times and is displayed in a professional manner
  • Set, display, and evaluate a high level of Customer Service
  • Inspect produced materials for quality and accurate pricing
  • Provide training and evaluation of new retail employees
  • Provide support for store manager during store meetings, disciplinary actions, etc.
  • Assist customers and donors in a timely and courteous manner
  • Aid cashiers in correcting errors
  • Accept or refuse donated merchandise per store guidelines
  • Sort, hand, and price donated merchandise for sale in store
  • Responsible for opening/closing store; handling cash and electronic transactions; opening and closing cash registers; ensure the security of all monies and that all deposits are made in a timely manner.
