Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Rancho Dominguez, California

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a meticulous Logistics Customer Service Representative in Rancho Dominguez, California. This role is primarily positioned in the customer service sector, focusing on processing customer credit applications and maintaining accurate customer credit records.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with customers and carriers, providing timely and accurate information, and resolving inquiries concerning work orders, invoices, shipments, inventory counts, etc.

• Manage and respond to inbound and outbound calls, emails, and online orders.

• Maintain and organize delivery driver paperwork and schedule deliveries.

• Build trust and foster a positive relationship with internal customers and carriers through consistent communication and follow-up.

• Provide follow-up to other departments to ensure service standards are being met.

• Maintain information regarding Safety and Production KPIs, including consistent reporting on KPIs.

• Organize and maintain safety and training records.

• Assist as needed with shipments.

• Display strong customer service skills via phone, email, and in-person using active listening skills.

• Demonstrate the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

• Show attention to detail and work accuracy.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, as well as other software programs and tools needed to perform essential job functions.

Requirements • Proven experience in a customer service role

• Ability to work effectively in a warehouse environment

• Knowledge of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to handle difficult customers with professionalism and patience

• Excellent problem-solving abilities

• Proficiency in using customer service software and databases

• Ability to work in a team and contribute towards achieving team goals

• High level of responsibility, accountability, and dependability

• Flexibility to work in different shifts or extended hours if required

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher degree in a related discipline will be appreciated.
