ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Position Summary:
An Electrical Design Engineer at Rotary Systems will never face a boring day. You will be part of an integral team designing custom rotary unions and slip rings for unique applications and state-of-the-art prototypes. The products you create are critical subcomponents within industries such as: Space, Aerospace, Automation, Robotics, Defense, Energy and more. Your work at Rotary Systems will be comfortable, yet challenging. We are open to candidates early in their career path; ideal candidates will have strong experience with both electrical and mechanical design.
Responsibilities:
Implement improvements to existing Rotary Union and Slip Ring product lines
Research and design expanded Slip Ring product offerings (4k video, Ethernet, fiber optic)
Create models, drawings and work instructions proficiently using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD
Determine and document manufacturing methods and process flow for manufactured items
Process Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s)
Create detail break downs for assemblies to ensure all parts interact with the correct tolerances
Support machining with any concerns regarding tolerances, quality etc.
Support sales and customers by providing them with engineering specifications
Research and development of new materials and industry advancements
Review, verify and manage the implementation of customer requirements through the Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) process
Work as a team member to approve product designs and documentation and participate in risk analysis and mitigation
Establish and verify testing the quality requirements
Help drive continuous improvement throughout the company
Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering with 2+ years of related experience
Understanding of ISO standards desired
Experience with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators and signal analyzers desired
Understanding of GD&T
Experience with 3D CAD required (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
Experience with the design and manufacture of mechanical assemblies and/or other electronic components

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
