Essential Job Duties:

  • Provides grant compliance oversight and support, budget management, and day-to-day business support for the Juntos program. Support in the development of budgets in consultation with the program director and leadership team. In addition, the position will provide day-to-day support for general business operations.

  • Support with the management Pre Award and Post-award process for Juntos in partnership with DASA Finance, Sponsored Programs, and Contracts and Grants

  • Assist with post-award process to ensure compliance with funder and University protocols. Including but not limited to Project Modification Request ( PMR ), Salary Distribution Change ( SDC ), Journal Vouchers (JV), closeout for multiple grants, foundation, trust fund and state- appropriated accounts.

  • Reconciling P-cards, payroll, purchasing, and other day-to-day business functions as assigned for Juntos

  • Determine and respond to issues and/or discrepancies involving guidelines for allowable and unallowable costs to ensure the university’s compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience with grants and contracts

  • Proficiency in Access and/or other database management software.

  • Proficiency with standard office software, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat; and adaptability to the ever-changing technology within the University.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative to perform responsibilities independently.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience w/Google Mail and PeopleSoft preferred.

  • Experience using the National Science Foundation’s FastLane database, Grants.gov, or other federal government electronic systems.

  • 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in contracts and grants office, including managerial roles and experience with knowledge of uniform guidance.

  • Experience with the NCSU system
