The Role
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Communications & Project Management leader experienced organization transformation and communication to join our HR Solutions team. As a member of our Transformation team, you will be part of an effort to build, stand up, and partner in making progress against the key initiatives of Lumen’s Transformation Office. This is a once-in-a-career opportunity to transform a company.
Location
This is a fully remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S. Approximately 10% travel (varied dependent upon project needs).
The Main Responsibilities
Drive key initiatives that enhance associate engagement and align with business objectives.
Create and manage the overarching transformation story arc and messaging narrative for top leadership and the Transformation Office in partnership with the communications team.
Contribute to the overall change narrative and communications at key moments for the transformation journey.
Build and foster strong networks and productive cross-functional working relationships across organizational lines.
Develop strategic internal communications plans and foster community and connection through these communications.
Manage associate surveys for actionable insights, design and execute Listening Sessions, and craft executive newsletters highlighting achievements and priorities.
Partner with leadership to create impactful executive narratives and presentation decks, lead recognition programs, and manage content to ensure stakeholders have access to relevant information.
Develop and execute internal communication plans and campaigns that support HR's strategic objectives and foster a positive workplace culture.
Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communication initiatives and provide feedback and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with the organization's brand identity, tone of voice, and style guidelines in all HR-related communications.
Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in internal communication and employee engagement.
Strategize and produce demo videos to showcase organizational successes and innovations.
Lead work with creative disciplines including graphic design, web development, and social media.
Create and implement communications plans that include target audience strategies, communication plans, and collateral material development.
Manage project scopes and drive clarity in project management and communication deliverables.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues on campaign development activities.
Define and communicate messages clearly and concisely.
Thrive and adapt in fast-paced environments.
Manage client relationships and foster new ones.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Exceptional writing, storytelling, and presentation development skills, with a focus on leadership and executive-level communications.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful internal communication strategies and campaigns.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling messages for various audiences and channels.
Strong ability to build trust with senior HR executives and operate as an advisor.
Highly collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Great interpersonal and communication skills with a positive outlook and attitude.
Knowledge and experience in developing and implementing communications plans and campaigns.
Comfortable and competent while working with senior leaders and managing cross-functional efforts.
Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
Committed to quality, continuous improvement, and project management.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
At least 8 years of experience in internal communication, preferably supporting HR within a large organization.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation
This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$129,639 - $172,852 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY
$136,121 - $181,494 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$142,603 - $190,137 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
