Red Hat Senior Product Manager Identity and Access Management in Raleigh, North Carolina

The Red Hat Information Technology (IT) team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Product Manager to lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of our IAM and IGA solutions. This role is pivotal in ensuring secure, seamless, and compliant access to systems, applications, and data across the organization. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, security, compliance, and business stakeholders, to define and execute the product roadmap for IAM initiatives.

What will you do:

Product Strategy and Roadmap:

  • Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for selecitve IAM solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals, security needs, and regulatory compliance.

  • Identify and prioritize features, enhancements, and integrations based on user needs, market trends, and industry best practices.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with business leaders, cross operations, IT, security, and compliance teams to understand identity and access management needs, pain points, and compliance priorities.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, translating business requirements into technical solutions for IAM (SSO, MFA, RBAC, etc.) and IGA (role-based access, policy enforcement, compliance workflows, etc.).

Solution Design and Delivery:

  • Lead the end-to-end lifecycle products, from ideation and requirements gathering to design, testing, implementation, and optimization.

  • Oversee the design and delivery of IAM solutions (e.g., authentication, SSO, privileged access management) and IGA solutions (e.g., user provisioning, role management, access certification).

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure IAM and IGA solutions meet regulatory and audit requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

  • Partner with compliance teams to design and implement automated workflows for policy enforcement, access certifications, segregation of duties (SOD) checks, and other compliance controls.

  • Continuously monitor and mitigate IAM-related risks to ensure robust access controls and minimal security vulnerabilities.

Market Research and Innovation:

  • Stay informed about the latest IAM and IGA technologies, industry standards, and regulatory trends.

Performance Monitoring and Optimization:

  • Define and track key performance metrics (KPIs) for IAM and IGA processes, such as provisioning efficiency, access compliance rates, audit readiness, and user experience.

  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in current IAM and IGA tools, processes, and integrations, and propose improvements.

User Experience and Support:

  • Advocate for user-friendly IAM solutions that balance security and usability.

  • Provide guidance and support to users and teams regarding IAM tools, policies, and procedures.

What will you bring:

  • Strong stakeholder management

  • 5+ years of experience in product management or program management, with at least 3 years in IAM, or a related security domain.

  • Understanding of IAM solutions such as Red Hat Identity suite, Sailpoint, Saviynt, Okta, Azure AD, SailPoint, Saviynt, ForgeRock, Ping Identity, or similar platforms.

  • Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, role-based access control (RBAC), user provisioning, access certification, and compliance frameworks.

  • Strong understanding of IAM technologies (SSO, MFA, RBAC, ABAC, privileged access management) and identity governance principles.

  • Familiarity with security protocols (e.g., SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect) and integrations with HR systems, directories (e.g., AD, LDAP), and cloud applications (e.g., AWS, Salesforce).

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.

  • Ability to balance security, compliance, and user experience in product design and implementation.

  • Experience in agile environments, managing multiple priorities effectively.

  • Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD processes, and their relevance to IAM/IGA.

The salary range for this position is $116,270.00 - $191,840.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
