EMCOR Group HVAC Sales Representative in Raleigh, North Carolina

Job Title: HVAC Sales Representative

Department: Service Division

Reports to: Sales Manager

Experience: 3-5 years (related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience)

General Purpose of Job:

Sell, design, and coordinate residential installations for the company.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate with a high level of customer service

  • Provide design details (including load calculations, installation lay outs and designs) for installations

  • Obtain signed contracts

  • Order all equipment and materials necessary to complete the customer’s order

  • Be familiar with local mechanical, electrical and plumbing codes

  • Arrange for all permits, sub-contractors and equipment rentals

  • Produce installation job package for installation supervisor, mechanic and warehouse personnel

  • Schedule installation date with homeowner while confirmation of opening on schedule

  • Handle all financial aspects of sales including, down and final payments, rebates, incentives, financing, etc.

Secondary Duties and responsibilities:

  • Offer different options and solutions for customers that best suit their individual needs

  • Prepare commission request sheets and review all jobs sold and billed for profit margins

  • Ensure additional level of quality control

  • Attend weekly team meetings and training

  • Participate in classes and training opportunities to stay current with new products and trends

  • Obtain new customers through referrals

  • Contact slow paying customers in an effort to collect money due to Newcomb and Company

  • Prospect for new sales opportunities

Education and Experience:

  • Experience: 3-5 years (related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience)

  • Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education from Technical schools

Physical Requirements & Job Environment:

  • All candidates for this position should be reasonably physically fit and capable of picking up a 60 lb. tool, piece of equipment or piece of material and moving it about either on a jobsite, at a vendor, our warehouse, etc.

  • Environmental conditions may range from outdoors to indoors on numerous occasions in which you could be exposed to varying weather conditions.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee could be exposed to mechanical parts, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles.

  • Ability to survey building HVAC units for model numbers, serial numbers, and materials to properly maintain the HVAC equipment per manufactures recommendations.

  • Ability to climb ladders, be on rooftops, opening roof hatchets, etc.

  • Must have valid driver's license.

Experience:

3-5 years related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
