Job Title: Engineering Technician

Job Description

As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for building and repairing test fixtures for our IoT-connected smart utility metering devices. You will spend 50% of your time guiding maintenance and 50% on fixture construction. Additionally, you may be involved in new feature testing and running regression tests for the NFT teams as part of your training.

Responsibilities

  • Build and repair test fixtures for IoT-connected smart utility metering devices.

  • Guide maintenance activities and provide support to the maintenance team.

  • Construct and assemble fixtures as required.

  • Participate in new feature testing and run regression tests for the NFT teams.

  • Load and configure operating systems on Linux-based devices (Raspberry Pi, Le Potato).

  • Build and configure PCs with Windows operating systems.

  • Review tickets and repair test fixtures.

  • Assist during peak construction times by assembling Devices Under Test (DUTs).

  • Utilize electrical tools such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes for debugging and testing.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in Linux (Raspberry Pi, Le Potato) and able to load and configure the OS.

  • Good PC skills, including the ability to build and configure Windows PCs.

  • Strong debugging skills and problem-solving abilities.

  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

  • Strong ability to prioritize work and manage time effectively.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Self-starter with a positive attitude.

  • Electrical or electrical debugging experience is a plus.

  • Familiarity with lab tools and basic soldering skills (not mandatory).

  • Willingness to assist with assembly during peak construction times.

  • Knowledge of electrical tools such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes.

  • Experience as an electrical technician.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Work Environment

This role is onsite at Honeywell. You will work on state-of-the-art IoT connected devices in an R&D environment. Enjoy two weeks of PTO and standard holidays

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00
