Actalent Electrical Project Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina

Job Title: Electrical Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee multiple projects within the industrial space, including manufacturing, distribution centers, hospitals, chemical, and biopharma facilities. This role involves running 2-4 jobs simultaneously, with project values ranging from $500k to $1M. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electrical construction and experience in take-offs and labor/material estimates.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients, other project managers, and supervisors to prepare, plan, develop, and oversee site projects.

  • Establish project priorities and assign resources or capital accordingly.

  • Manage all aspects of cost management, including estimating, funding, budgeting, forecasting, controlling, and reporting.

  • Utilize extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts to identify and process scope changes, address issues, and communicate project milestones.

  • Continuously develop relationships to identify and cultivate opportunities.

  • Plan and schedule resources to meet project demands.

  • Devise new approaches to problems and prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts, and graphs.

  • Monitor work for compliance with applicable codes and accepted engineering practices.

  • Ensure all equipment, tools, and employees assigned to the project operate in accordance with policy, government regulations, and customer requirements.

  • Monitor the execution of the safety program and the performance of work by internal staff and external vendors.

  • Provide regular updates on project statuses to management.

  • Travel to job sites regularly to oversee projects.

Essential Skills

  • Project management

  • Proficiency in P&ID and blueprint reading

  • Knowledge of safety and OSHA requirements

  • Experience in industrial, retrofit, and rigging projects

  • MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) expertise

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of experience in manufacturing, power, and chemical markets managing projects up to $1M with high complexity.

  • 10-15 years of client relationship and business development experience, including leading the preparation and development of bids with a successful record.

  • Demonstrated success in team leadership, process adherence, ownership/commitment, learning agility, and risk management capabilities.

  • Strategic thinking ability to establish and manage plans while building and fostering relationships.

  • Proficient PC skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and project management scheduling software.

Work Environment

The role is based in the Raleigh office with some travel to project sites. The work environment involves overseeing projects in various industrial settings, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and fostering a Safety First mentality.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $160000.00
