Position Description:

We are looking for a meticulous and analytical Excel Data Analyst with some experience in Software Asset Management to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing software assets, ensuring compliance, and leveraging data to support strategic decisions. This role requires advanced Excel skills and a deep understanding of software lifecycle management.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Data Analysis and Reporting:

• Develop and maintain advanced Excel spreadsheets for tracking software assets.

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, discrepancies, and optimization opportunities.

• Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for management, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.

• Utilize pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced Excel functions to manage and interpret data.

Software Asset Management:

• Maintain an accurate inventory of all software assets, including acquisition, deployment, licensing, maintenance, and retirement.

• Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and asset management policies.

• Conduct regular audits of software assets and reconcile any discrepancies.

• Coordinate with procurement, IT, and legal teams to track and manage software lifecycle.

• Understanding of license administration and contracts to be able to manage at least one software overall (Microsoft, Broadcomm, etc.)

· Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements for software asset management and data analysis.

• Develop and document standard operating procedures for software asset management.

• Provide training and support to team members on software asset management best practices.

· Collaboration:

• Work closely with IT, finance, procurement, and legal teams to align software asset management with organizational goals.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on software asset status and project progress.

· Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data visualization.

• Familiarity with database management and data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Power BI).

• Knowledge of software asset management principles and best practices.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Prefer 1 year of experience within unified IT Service Management Systems.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $49,400 - $126,600.”
