Robert Half Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager in Raleigh, North Carolina

Description

Robert Half’s client is a global service company and is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Supervisor to join their expanding team.

Job Description:

The AP Supervisor will take charge of managing the Accounts Payable unit, ensuring efficient, accurate, and timely processing of payable invoices. This position requires someone with a solid background in managing high-volume AP departments, as well as proven experience in a leadership role.

Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the AP department.

Direct and supervise the duties of the AP staff.

Maintain the accurate processing and reconciliation of company invoices.

Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers.

Implement and maintain systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.

Liaise with other departments and vendors regarding financial transactions and business processes.

Prepare and present reports detailing the AP status to company executives and senior management.

Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and assist in the professional development of the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-volume AP role.

At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience.

Knowledge of AP software, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong excel skills.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Experience in an international or global company is an advantage.
