Salary Placement and Work Hours:
This is a 12-month position. Placement will be on the E1 salary schedule (Range of $50,680 to $68,169) and is at the President's discretion based on applicable, documented work experience and level of education. The work week is Monday through Friday, and hours worked will be a minimum of 40 per week.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Dean of Student Services, the Admissions Coordinator is responsible for leadership and program management in the Office of Admissions by providing oversight and the coordination of Admissions Office assistants and student workers. The Coordinator will interact directly with students, parents, families, faculty, staff, federal and state agencies, secondary school systems, and other constituents of the College. In addition, the Coordinator will prepare admission records of new, returning, and dual enrollment students and administer placement testing. This position requires manual dexterity; the ability to efficiently perform data entry and retrieval; effective communication skills including oral, written, electronic and other media, and the ability to work flexible hours. This employee must comply with all policies of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, the Alabama Community College System, and Northeast Alabama Community College.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Coordinate, mentor, and train Admissions Office assistants and student workers to meet annual unit goals for Student Services and directive goals of the College.
- Coordinate and oversee operations of Admissions and work closely with the Assistant Registrar to supervise the maintenance and security of student files, transcripts, and test scores.
- Coordinate the maintenance and security of all student records according to official policies, including evaluation of credits from other colleges and universities for transfer students.
- Assist the Director of Developmental Studies Support Programs and College Retention with the ongoing review, analysis, and updating of the College Enrollment Management Plan.
- Work closely with the ADA Coordinator to ensure the College complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Work closely with the Assistant Registrar to counsel students regarding GPA calculations, Bankruptcy, and Course Forgiveness.
- Oversee student placement testing.
- Oversee Call Center escalations.
- Assist in finalizing the school calendar by scheduling online registration, early registration, and orientations.
- Submit annual unit goals for the Admissions Office to the Dean of Student Services.
- Verify and submit In-State Residency documents to the Dean of Student Services for approval.
- Oversee Student Reinstatement Processes and Procedures.
- Assist the Dean of Student Services in Nursing Admissions Committee meetings.
- Perform general duties as needed for the Office of Admissions including answering telephone calls, assisting studen s and visitors, completing purchase requisitions for the Admissions Office, and replying to incoming correspondence, including emails and disseminating information about the College to prospective students.
- Process College applications and assist with all aspects of the admissions process and registration of students including mailing acceptance letters, scheduling test dates, scheduling orientation, establishing and maintaining admissions records, receiving high school and college transcripts, scanning admissions records and documenting student files in the computer system.
- Serve on institutional committees as assigned by the President.
- Complete other tasks as directed by the Dean of Student Services and/or President.
- Comply with all policies of the Alabama Community College System Board of Trustees, the Alabama Community College System, and Northeast Alabama Community College
Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to work efficiently with Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) is required
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, presentational, and writing skills with proficiency in the English language
- Understanding of the mission and goals of Northeast Alabama Community College and the Alabama Community College System
- Ability to work flexible hours including during the day, evenings, and occasional weekends for special projects
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelors degree from a regionally accredited institution is required; Masters degree preferred
- Two or more years of working with Ellucian Banner Software is required
