BAE Systems Electrical Engineer in Radford, Virginia

Job Description

Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience

  • Work experience in maintenance, repair and power generation systems

  • capable of developing designs, drawings, SOWs, equipment specifications

  • Shall be able to provide tech support for electrical, instrumentation, controls, power generation, and general

  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate ideas and instructions

  • Understanding of preventative maintenance

  • Knowledge of explosives and chemical industry hazards

  • Knowledge of OHSA and Electrical code standards

  • Microsoft Office knowledge and experience

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Electrical Engineer with 8 years of experience in design and function

  • Familiar with SKM software or other arc flash modeling software

  • Familiar with lightning protection systems

  • Experience with co generating facilities

  • Experience with co-generating facilities

  • Possesses computer competencies in CAD software

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $105254 - $178931

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
