Job Description

In this position, you will be assembling large pumps manufactured in our facility. You will be assembling equipment based on blueprints in a team setting to create and assemble water filtration pumps. This role is 70% mechanical and 30% electrical.

Responsibilities

• Perform diversified assembly and erection operations for all types of water pumping stations and component sub-assemblies or equipment to close tolerances and strict inspection requirements.

• Follow prescribed assembly procedures and standard practices.

• Conduct skilled fittings of parts, sub-assemblies, and related units.

• Align, adjust, and perform required secondary machining.

• Assign work, instruct, and check work and procedures for assemblers of lower classification and helpers.

• Work from complicated drawings and specifications.

• Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gauging devices.

• Receive progress supervision and checks, with final assemblies inspected and tested.

• Utilize skills and assembling techniques, along with experience and knowledge of design and basic mechanical principles.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of mechanical assembly experience

• Experience with pump assembly, heavy assembly, and mechanical assembly

• Proficiency in using hand and power tools with 2+ years of experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical assembly

Work Environment

The work environment is friendly and team-oriented, with everyone working together to keep up with production. The facility is a massive, climate-controlled, and very quiet warehouse, requiring only eye protection.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
