Department: Orthopedic Surgery Clinic
Schedule: Full Time Days - 40 hours per week. Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Responsibilities
Assess injuries and manage comprehensive treatment programs to prevent injury and rehabilitate athletes.
Develop conditioning programs for injured and non-injured athletes to ensure safety in the program design incorporating nutrition plans and schedules customized to meet individual athlete needs.
Design and implement comprehensive training or rehabilitation programs to prevent injury and illness among athletes.
Evaluate and manage injuries.
Maintain medical documentation on each athlete and act as a liaison between the physician and the athlete.
Prepare athletes for practice or competition based on team schedules, applicable regulations and guidelines, and in conjunction with physician and sports performance staff.
Requirements
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Athletic Trainer credentialed from the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers Affiliated Credentialing Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Additional Preferences
Candidates with 2+ years of LAT certified experience preferred.
Candidates with prior experience in concussion screenings is preferred.
Responsibilities
Assists physicians and support staff with patient care in the Orthopedic Surgery outpatient clinic
Handles patient low, including preparing of rooms and patients and other duties as identified by Ascension Medical Group physician office standards protocol
Management of concussion patients utilizing ImPACT testing
Performs various tests/procedures independently as prescribed by the physician
Implement and monitor patient care plans
Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate
Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
Fit & educate the patient with splints, crutches, braces, wraps and other various durable medical equipment as directed by the attending physician
8-hour day scheduled between the hours of 8:00 am- 5:00pm Monday thru Friday
Hours may vary based on the operational needs of department
