Robert Half Quality Assurance Engineer - Expert in Quincy, Massachusetts

Description We are offering a contract-to-hire employment opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer - Expert in Quincy, Massachusetts. This role is in the financial services industry and requires a blend of skills including quality assurance and agile methodologies. The successful candidate will be involved in various initiatives within a functional area and will need to collaborate with teams across different time zones.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement quality assurance best practices for financial service testing

• Establish and manage the software development life cycle in an Agile environment

• Conduct A/B testing to ensure the quality of software products

• Use tools such as JIRA and X Ray to manage and track quality assurance processes

• Collaborate with middle office and dev teams across different locations and time zones

• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders through tools like Zoom and phone screens

• Provide training and support to junior team members as needed

• Conduct competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends

• Perform ad hoc financial tasks as required by the team

• Ensure onsite quality assurance activities are carried out efficiently and effectively. Requirements • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer or similar role in the tech industry.

• Extensive knowledge of Agile frameworks and regression testing.

• Familiarity with various testing techniques such as AB Testing and Competitor Analysis.

• Proficient in handling Quality Assurance tools, notably JIRA.

• Ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Experience in conducting onsite evaluations and training.

• Solid understanding of best practices in the field of Quality Assurance.

• Ability to effectively use digital communication tools such as Zoom for remote working scenarios.

• Adequate knowledge of middle office functions and the ability to perform ad hoc financial duties.

• Proven ability to manage relationships with suppliers to ensure product quality.

• Proficiency in using the 'About Time' application for time tracking.

• Demonstrable experience in training others on quality assurance methodologies and procedures.

• Must possess the QE (Quality Engineering) skill set.
