Robert Half Procurement Manager in Quincy, Massachusetts
Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Procurement Manager in Quincy, Massachusetts. This role is pivotal in our operations, involving direct negotiations, problem-solving, and data analysis within our organization. The successful candidate will be expected to manage complex agreements, identify saving opportunities, and contribute to financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Direct negotiations and management of complex agreements
• Timely resolution of requests and issues, involving daily problem-solving activities
• Identification and realization of saving opportunities through stakeholder engagement and data analysis
• Negotiation of pricing using various strategies that incentivize a supplier
• Identification and management of risks and opportunities related to achieving financial objectives
• Contribution to the team's P& L and cost avoid savings
• Analysis of data to identify opportunities to reduce the existing cost base
• Coordination, preparation, and management of RFx/competitive bids to optimize cost and service
• Utilization of a white glove approach in stakeholder management to provide advice and guidance within the category.
• Redlining/marking up SOWs/MSA/agreements and ensuring compliance to processes as a significant part of the role.
This role requires the use of various skills including, but not limited to, 3M, Coupa, CRM, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, About Time, Budget Processes, Buying Processes, and Customer Service. Requirements • Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in reading the market
• Talent in negotiating and networking
• Solid judgment along with decision-making skills
• Strong leadership capabilities
• Proficient in 3M, Coupa, CRM, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, and About Time
• Experience with budget processes and buying processes
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience with invoice processing
• Ability to manage logistics of all aspects of supply chain, from product development to the shipment of finished items
• Understanding of supply chain procedures
• Active participation in high-level negotiations
• Experience in collecting and analyzing data
• Strong leadership capabilities
• BSc degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administration
