Full-Time Health Educator
Reports to: Director of Health Education

Responsibilities :
Provide patient education on disease prevention and health promotion at clinical settings
Assist in planning, developing, and implementing of community health education activities, such as workshops, radio programs
Participate in community events including health fairs and other events to promote health practices and CBWCHC services
Connect patients and community members to CBWCHC resources, services, and care as appropriate
Complete scheduling and registration for new and returning patients in line with CBWCHC customer service and quality standards
Support the development and adaption of health education materials in variety of formats, such as prints, social media, group workshop
Assess education needs from patients and communities, maintain accurate records of educational activities and prepare project reports
Conduct translation activities like document or material translation and translation review
Support the Health Education and Engagement team in special events and projects
Flexibility to work in Manhattan and Queens sites required
Flexibility to work weekends or nights as needed
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Health Education, Public Health, Behavioral Science or related field
Bilingual in English/Chinese is required, English/Chinese-Mandarin is preferred
Excellent communication and counseling skills
Customer service experience preferred
Experience working with people of various age groups (children, teens, seniors) in health care or social services
1-3 years of experience working in a health-related field, preferably in the Chinese and/or Asian American community
Compensation and Benefits :
Salary: $50,000.00 - 55,000.00 per year
