Brookfield Renewable U.S. NERC Compliance Manager in Queensbury,NY, New York

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance.ResponsibilitiesManage reliability compliance policies and procedures associated with Brookfield’s Bulk Electric System (BES) generation and transmission assets in the U.S.Lead Compliance Team and regional management with compliance effortsTrack and prepare for new and revised NERC Standards that impact the businessMaintain/implement annual Reliability Compliance schedule/calendar for both generation and transmission assetsEnsure that Compliance deadlines are metWork with Regional Subject Matter Experts to organize and maintain reliability compliance evidences necessary for reporting and audit activities, and create plans for audit preparation and mitigation activitiesMaintain procedure library for NERC Registered Entities as well as electronic document management for the Reliability Compliance GroupManage subscriptions and data input for self-certifications with regional reliability organization compliance portalsProvide training/guidance to regional operations staff as neededDevelop and manage compliance budgetRecommend changes and modifications to programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable reliability standardsLead both internal and external compliance auditsParticipate in regional reliability organization workshops and seminarsLead Brookfield’s Internal Compliance Program (ICP) committees and working groups RequirementsA minimum of 10 years of electric utility industry experience isA minimum of 5 years of experience in a reliability compliance management role is required.Strong knowledge of NERC 693 (O&P) and CIP StandardsBasic knowledge of electrical generation and transmissionAbility to expand and manage a reliability compliance program suitable to ensure the continued compliance of Brookfield assets on a nationalExperience in managing capital and OM&AAbility to work in a dynamic, fast pace environment and to adapt quickly to changing priorities.Ability to effect and manage changeStrong leadership skills; ability to provide direction and coaching to teamProven ability to build and manage solidAbility to influence others and to gain support for his/herAbility to deal effectively with externalStrong communication skills (oral and written) EducationBachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent experience is required. An Electrical Power Systems degree is a plus.

Minimum Salary: 100,000 Maximum Salary: 140,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
