JOB SUMMARY - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Procurement Manager to lead our procurement team. The idea candidate will have a strong background in procurement, supplier management, tactical execution, supply chain management, with expertise in cost reduction strategies and sub-contract management. The ideal candidate should also be proficient in both procurement tools and ERP systems. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to develop a team to manage a complex supply chain.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and Execute Procurement Strategies:
  • Lead a team of six buyer/planners to manage the supply chain requirements for both component and sub-contract assemblies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement requirements with business goals and ensure seamless execution.
Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Manage and optimize supplier and contract manufacturing relationships to ensure high performance - including on-time deliveries, continuous improvements, and enhanced long-term partnership.
  • Conduct supplier evaluations, performance reviews, and negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions.
  • Develop new supplier and sub-contractors to support new product requirements
Cost Reduction and Value Optimization:
  • Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities across the supply chain without compromising quality or reliability.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize value from suppliers through strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier collaboration.
Data Analytics and Reporting:
  • Utilize data analytics to inform sourcing decisions, track performance metrics, and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sourcing performance, cost savings, and supplier performance to senior leadership.
Risk Management:
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them, including alternative sourcing options and contingency planning.
  • Monitor global supply chain trends and market dynamics to proactively address potential disruptions.
Leverage Procurement Technology:
  • Utilize procurement analytics tools and ERP systems to streamline procurement processes and enhance decision-making.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest procurement technologies and implement best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Leadership and Team Development:
  • Lead and mentor a team of 6 sourcing professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture
  • May perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS -The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Level of Degree in the Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Equivalent work related experience acceptable in lieu of degree Yes X No
  • Minimum 8-10 years of demonstrated experience in procurement and supply chain management, with a focus on strategic sourcing
  • Proven experience in supplier relationship management, category management, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • NA Certifications Required
  • Any preferred education, experience or certifications: Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management), CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply), or PMP (Project Management Professional) are a plus
Skills/Knowledge
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills, with experience in data-driven decision-making.
  • Proficiency in procurement tools, including e-sourcing platforms, procurement analytics tools, and ERP systems.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Salary: 130000.00 Maximum Salary: 165000.00 Salary Unit: Yearly
