Citigroup VP, Regulatory Reporting Lead Analyst (Hybrid) in Queens, New York

Please Note: This position is a hybrid role and the employee will be required to be in the office 3 days per week.

The Lead Analyst position is an integral member of the Global Regulatory and Capital Reporting (GRCR). This is a high profile function, providing financial information to the regulators including the Federal Reserve Bank (FRB) and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC). The position will have a high level of visibility within the organization with opportunities to work directly on a regular basis with Management and will also interact closely with other groups throughout Citi, including Risk, Treasury, Controllers & Transformation. The core responsibilities include leading the assessment and documentation of remediated or closed reporting issues to determine if historical regulatory reports require refiling.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead forums with reporting teams and other key stakeholders to understand issue details, root cause, and remediation / controls as they impact the regulatory reports

  • Prepare materiality assessments, working with reporting teams to determine if refilings are necessary

  • Leverage regulatory reporting subject matter expertise to provide effective review and challenge to the report impact of issues, root cause, and controls, engaging with reporting teams and other stakeholders

  • Analyze historical issues or refilings to identify potential governance or control gaps in the organization that may be contributing to reporting issues

  • Ensure consistent application materiality procedures and associated policy requirements

  • Engage with key stakeholders on the status of strategic remediation for material reporting errors

  • Provide guidance to local reporting teams to support consistent implementation of materiality and restatement standards

  • Lead/participate in projects and ad-hoc requests

This individual will have an opportunity to work with over 100 team members across NY, Manilla and Tampa, consisting of MBAs and CPAs, who are engaged with and supportive of one another and in an environment which promotes and sustains continuous development and growth. GRCR’s mission is to provide complete and accurate consolidated financial statement analysis and other related information to the regulators, investors, outside analysts and senior management on a timely basis and in the most efficient manner possible

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of experience with US Bank Regulatory Reports (e.g. FR Y-9C, FFIEC 031, FR Y-14 actuals)

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance

  • Prior experience in Big 4 or large consulting / advisory firms helpful

  • Exceptional verbal and written presentation skills, with the ability to present complex concepts in a concise, succinct manner to all organizational levels.

  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented with ability to lead in a professional and challenging environment and deliver results against fast-paced deliverable deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under demanding time frames and respond appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with changes, ambiguity, adversity, and other pressures

  • Ability to work with different levels of management

  • Ability to develop effective and productive working relationships with a wide range of groups across Citi as well as external auditors and regulators

  • Able to analyze and think through highly complex issues.

  • Ability to innovate and champion progress for efficiency and productivity

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office - PowerPoint, Excel, Word

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$129,840.00 - $194,760.00
