ManTech Senior Systems Architect in Quantico, Virginia
ManTech is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Systems Architect to join our dynamic team supporting the Marine Corps System Command (MCSC). This individual will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining operational baseline network diagrams for USMC bases, posts, camps, and stations, as well as developing DoDAF and Marine Corps compliant architectures.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with modeling tools, a good understanding of network technology and concepts, and the ability to travel both domestically and internationally to inventory, trace, and map out network systems, configurations, and connectivity at USMC data centers.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop DoDAF and Marine Corps compliant architectures.
Create, update, and maintain accurate operational baseline diagrams for various installations using Cameo System Modeler.
Research and analyze new and existing technologies and tools to provide more efficient architecture development techniques and processes.
Understand and document the network infrastructure and related systems at USMC locations.
Work closely with enterprise architects to ensure diagrams are in alignment with overall architectural goals.
Coordinate and facilitate related technical and strategy discussions.
Consolidate and report project status updates and issues.
Extend architecture tool schemas, as required, to satisfy Marine Corps Systems Engineering and data requirements.
Facilitate and participate in the collaborative process of identifying and capturing data with engineers and technical subject matter experts.
Travel to USMC locations domestically and internationally to conduct on-site assessments.
Participate in team meetings, providing insights and updates on modeling.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors Degree and at least 4 years of related experience to include the following (additional 2 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of degree):
1-3 years of experience with modeling and diagramming tools: Visio, Dassault Systems Cameo modeling tools, Casewise or ErWIN EA, Sparx EA
Extensive experience with Cameo Enterprise Architecture.
Experience with modeling tools such as Cameo System Modeler, Visio, or similar.
Familiarity with one or more of the following: UML, SysML, UAF, UPDM, DoDAF
Basic understanding of networks, network technology, and concepts.
Ability to think critically, problem-solve, and influence others to achieve desired
results for the project.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively on multiple projects
simultaneously.
Willingness and ability to travel significantly, including international destinations.
U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work and travel requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Marine Corps Systems Engineering Processes, including the relationship between MCSC and DC, CD&I. Familiarity with the MCSC Acquisition
Guidebook, and Marine Corps Architecture Development Guide and Process.
Technical education related to any of the following: data modeling, systems engineering, machine learning and predictive analysis, agile software development and build methodologies, or simulation.
Knowledge of Marine Corps concepts, practices, procedures, systems, and interfaces.
JCIDS and Defense Acquisition System process experience.
Understanding of systems integration, automated bulk export/import, and the ability to perform impact assessments.
Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks: Zachman, DoDAF, UAF, UPDM, BPMN.
Clearance Requirements:
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain and active Secret Clearance.
Physical Requirements:
This job largely operates in a professional office environment.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
