Machine Operator Weekly Pay

Job Description

We are looking for a Skilled Machine Operator to join our team in Bucks County. This role requires the ability to lift up to 70lbs regularly, measure and weigh materials, and maintain a high level of attention to detail. The primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth operation and proper filling of plastic bagging materials on the production line.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the rolls of plastic bagging materials run smoothly and fill properly on the line.

  • Perform clean-up processes to maintain machinery and surrounding areas free of debris during downtime.

  • Operate machinery or equipment as trained and instructed, following safety guidelines at all times.

  • Assist the lead operator in preparing for shift production.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 70lbs regularly.

  • Ability to measure and weigh materials accurately.

  • Attention to detail in all tasks.

  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors, exposed to various elements.

  • General production and labor skills.

  • Machine operation and packaging experience.

  • Previous forklift operation experience preferred.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

  • Ability to follow company production and safety procedures.

  • Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and series of numbers.

  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by tens and hundreds.

  • Must be able to demonstrate lockout/tagout procedures and keep key lock with self at all times.

  • Must attend weekly safety meetings.

  • Comfortable working in all weather conditions.

Work Environment

This role is based at a very large lawn and garden site that supplies mulch products and top soils to major retailers. The manufacturing plant is not temperature controlled and can be dirty and dusty due to the nature of the products being processed. Candidates will be exposed to outdoor elements such as rain, snow, and sun.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
