SPLASH (Save Punxsy's Local Area Swimming Hole) is seeking 2 Pool Managers for the George C. Brown Community Pool.

The pool season will be June 1 - August 18.

Responsibilities for Pool Manager

• Responsible for all operations of the pool and staff with co-manager
• Supervise and Schedule all staff that includes: Lifeguards, Concession Workers and possible    volunteers
• Maintain the chemicals levels to the PA Dept of Health standards. Maintain proper water levels and all the pumps are functioning properly. Keep both pump houses neat and free from hazards.
• Communicate with Public Works Dept Manager on any mechanical issues beyond daily maintenance. When it is time to back wash the filter, please give Public Works advance notice.
• Ensure that safety is the entire staff's responsibility and necessity to keep open lines of communication.  
•  Responsible for maintaining inventory levels for pool supplies and concession stand.
• Responsible for all record keeping: time sheets, daily attendance, daily receipts. Preparing and balancing daily deposit.
• Daily opening and closing. Should arrive 1 hour before pool opening to record and adjust chemicals, if needed. Secure the facility at closing as well.
• Scheduling of at least weekly events at the pool with the assistance of the SPLASH Pool Committee. Scheduling of all private party events.
• Provide update to SPLASH Pool Committee Chair at the end of each pay period. Contact SPLASH Pool Committee Chair any time advise or direction is needed.

Qualifications for Pool Manager

• Excellent Communication, Teamwork, and Customer Service Skills
• Availability to work the entire season from 6/1/24 thru 8/18/24
• Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
• Strong knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedure, helpful but not required
• Ability to accurately prepare routine administrative paperwork
• PA Dept of Agriculture Pesticide License for operating public bathing facilities (financial assist provided to the candidate that is hired)
• Must have ACT 51 & 131 Clearances.
