The position will involve conducting both field and laboratory research to pioneer new nematode resistance tools and bio-pesticides. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop and implement new ideas on the project. Required Qualifications: • A PhD in plant pathology, plant science, or a related discipline. • Demonstrated previous experience in areas such as nematology, plant biology, plant pathology. • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written. • A demonstrated ability to function with minimal supervision. • At least two publications in peer-reviewed journals. • Ability to work with and contribute to diverse teams and promote an inclusive working culture. • Strong attention to detail with a critical thinking approach to problem-solving and research development. Preferred Qualifications: • Expertise in designing field experiments for potato and/or grape. • Proven track record of effective collaboration between interdisciplinary teams. • Experience in overseeing research projects and mentorship of junior researchers. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.
